Another Good Day Coming

It is another lovely morning. Instead of going to the health club we went for a walk near home in the early light of dawn.

Last night, I finished reading a very interesting book, a novel based upon fact, Honolulu by Alan Brenner. It is about a "picture bride", sometimes called a mail order bride, who arrives in Hawaii in 1914. This young woman is Korean but it makes little difference if she were Chinese, Japanese, or from another Asian or Southeast Asian country, the story is the same. The book is well researched and appears to be very accurate.

I must prepare to go outside to uncover the iris.
