It has been so very long since I last posted.  It seems like there is nothing going on here that others might find interesting.  About two weeks ago, we found a lot of honey bees in the broccoli flowers.  We were planning to take the broccoli out because it is the end of the growing season but decided to let some of the broccoli stay because the honey bees were in it.  During the summer we hosted only a few honey bees; this was an unexpected but very pleasant surprise.  We felt we should give them as much advantage as we could for the winter.  Hopefully they will survive and come back in the spring.
